Manage upgraded sitelinks in the new version of AdWords Editor

Starting today, you can download the latest version of AdWords Editor, which now supports upgraded sitelinks for enhanced campaigns. With version 10.2, you can:
  • View and manage sitelinks and settings, including device preference, using the new "Sitelinks (upgraded)" tab.
  • Add, edit, or remove sitelinks at the campaign or ad group level.
  • Copy and paste upgraded sitelinks between campaigns or ad groups.
  • Include upgraded sitelinks in imports and exports.

Note: All AdWords campaigns are now upgraded to enhanced campaigns. As such, AdWords Editor 10.2 only supports enhanced campaigns.

The next time you launch AdWords Editor, you'll see a prompt to upgrade to the new version. AdWords Editor updates: More enhanced campaign features and improved performance reporting

The latest version of AdWords Editor gives you more ways to make bulk changes to your enhanced campaigns. With the new version, you can:
  • Set bid adjustments for placements, topics, and audiences.
  • Set mobile bid adjustments at the ad group level.
  • Upgrade campaigns in bulk using CSV import or the Add/update multiple campaigns tool.
  • Use the new ValueTrack {ifmobile}, {ifnotmobile} parameters.
On the Keywords tab, new columns show detailed keyword performance metrics on the Display Network, enabling you to manage and optimize your Display campaigns with the same granular level of control as your Search campaigns. For example, you can adjust keyword bids depending on their performance, and fine-tune campaigns based on your specific goals.

We've also improved the performance statistics that you can download for locations, audiences, and placements.

Enhanced campaigns in AdWords Editor 10.0

You can now use AdWords Editor to upgrade and manage enhanced campaigns. Once you install AdWords Editor 10.0, you'll be able to:



AdWords Editor 9.9 is now available

We're pleased to introduce AdWords Editor version 9.9, now available for Windows and Mac. Changes in this version include Google Display Network updates, import and export improvements, and new campaign settings. Here's an overview of the changes:

Google Display Network updates
Manage your ad group flexible reach settings with the new "Flexible reach" panel on the ad groups tab, or by using CSV import. We've also simplified the campaign-level Display Network settings (now simply "Enabled" or "Disabled").

Import and export improvements
You can now use CSV import to update your campaign-level settings for the Google Search Network and Google Display Network. You can also choose how AdWords Editor handles importation of duplicate ads with different URLs.

New campaign settings
We've added a new option for device targeting (BlackBerry) and a new ad rotation setting (Rotate indefinitely).

AdWords Editor users: Upgrade to version 9.8.1 before October 28, 2012


As we announced in June, AdWords Editor versions 9.5.1 and 9.7.1 will no longer be supported after October 28, 2012. If you continue using version 9.5.1 or 9.7.1 after this date, you'll encounter errors downloading accounts, posting changes to campaign settings, or checking changes. To avoid these issues, please upgrade to the latest version (9.8.1) at your earliest convenience.

You can upgrade to version 9.8.1 through the auto-update prompt that appears when you run AdWords Editor. To preserve unposted changes and comments, select the "Backup then Upgrade" option in the prompt. You can also download the latest version from the AdWords Editor website.

Introducing AdWords Editor 9.8.1

Today we're pleased to announce AdWords Editor version 9.8.1, which includes the ability to add and edit dynamic search ads and product listing ads, as well as quickly and easily modify location targets. Here's an overview of key updates:

Manage location targeting more easily
The new Locations tab (under Targeting) lets you add, update, and copy location targets more efficiently.

Dynamic search ads and product listing ads now in AdWords Editor
Each of these ad formats has its own tab, where you can view your ads and make changes or additions. You can also manage your dynamic ad targets and product targets on two new targeting tabs.

We've also updated topic targeting, posting, and CSV import, along with other improvements. We encourage you to read through our version 9.8.1 release notes to become familiar with all of the changes.
